Modernizing Workloads with Linux on Your Mainframe - Elizabeth K. Joseph, IBM

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

However, the modern mainframe has advantages over the standard x86 cloud or on premises stack, including superior storage, cryptography, security, and reliability. Instead of looking to replace the mainframe, this talk will take a technical look at how you can run Linux on the mainframe. We'll also look at other open source tooling, including Linux-focused work driven the Open Mainframe Project, to get the best of both worlds.
